Hi, all...
This is making me feel quite technologically deficient; I've no idea how to do exciting things, and sadly, haven't much exciting to say. However, I appreciate the opportunity to push lots and lots of buttons and constantly sign into things and out of things, it makes me feel accomplished. So thank you, and I shall practice, and perhaps make up for the dullness of these with a GIANT amount of them!
It's absolutely lovely to hear from people here and have updates, it makes me smile, we should all update and smile more often. Pictures too are really rad, and Maggie, thanks a million for that exceptionally flattering final picture.
I have left the nomadic lifestyle behind for a bit and am back home in Maine until my sanity is once again hanging by a thread and I return to the lower New England states, after which I shall head westward to Seattle and then Mexico.
Everybody, please try to visit Anika and me in Mexico. You'll have a place to stay, lots of love, and some really lecherous winks to look forward to. Not to mention sun, beaches, and tequila. And winks. REALLY good winks. I've been practicing.
Unfortunately (for I know this has been a thrill ride), I must return to the personal statement writing and list making part of my life.
Love to each and every one of you.

Lizzy! When will you be in Seattle? Do you know which city is between Seattle and Mexico? Portland! I would gladly travel to Seattle to see you or you and Anika could come and hang out with us in Portland! Or both!
ReplyDeleteI could use some good winks too.

YAYYY I was hoping you'd say something like that!!!
ReplyDeleteThe plan right now is that I get to Seattle sometime between Christmas and New Years (depends on plane tickets...) and our flight to Mexico is out of Seattle on January 17th. This means that we have discussed going down to see you and Lynn and Powell's, and I think it's a capital idea! Also, you two should come to Seattle! You won't have classes for most of that time, will you?
Let me know, and we'll certainly be there. Also, COME TO MEXICO TOO.
How long will you be in Mexico? Don't you speak Greek? And Latin? Doesn't Anika speak French or something? Maybe I should join you and we can be a big group of people who don't speak Spanish. :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth you and your lady friend (and anybody else who is awesome and in the NW area) are invited to our most awesome New Year's Eve Party! If you don't already have cool Seattle plans for that evening, you should definitely come to Portland and party with us.
I start classes up again on the 4th of January, but my weekends are pretty free. We might try scooting up to Seattle if the weather and the budget permits! When you come, you should stay in our living room on our futon. As long as you don't mind cats. :-)
Yay! You should call me/text me/whatever when you have firmer plans!
YAY!

We'll be in Mexico as long as possible; ideally as long as it takes for grad schools to get back to me. I do speak Greek, and Anika does indeed speak French, but is learning some elementary Spanish so as to increase the likelihood of our survival. I'd love to come down for New Year's, but it looks as though I won't be able to get to the area before then. Long and short - yes, let's definitely plan something, and yes, I'll let you know as soon as the plans tighten up.
ReplyDeleteLOVE.
